Avatar home designs announced for TerraLargo

March 12, 2006

Avatar Properties Inc. has unveiled two collections of residential designs for TerraLargo, a 640-acre, master-planned community created with Tuscan-inspired architecture and landscaping, off Sleepy Hill Road.

Tentatively called Castello and Palazzo, these collections offer 10 floor plans ranging from 1,462 to 3,162 square feet of living space, says Francesca Vereb, director of marketing for the gulf coast and south Florida operations of Avatar Properties Inc., the community’s developer and ex-clusive builder. Residential pricing should start in the $300s including homesite.

The collections – each with five floor plans – offer three- and four-bedroom designs with two- or three-car garages. Standard features include brick-paver driveways and entryways, covered lanais, arch accents, tile roofs and stone exteriors.

The Castello Collection has one- and two-story plans with two or 2.5 baths. Some homes include optional features such as dens and enlarged master bedrooms, while the Palazzo Collection – also with one- and two-story plans – offers two, 2.5 or three baths, as well as 9-foot-high flat ceilings. Most designs also boast a den.

Upon completion, TerraLargo will feature six residential villages with 618 single-family and executive residences on 50- and 70-foot-wide homesites.

TerraLargo’s amenity complex boasts a clubhouse – with about 5,000 square feet of floor space, a lounge, reception and meeting areas, and a kitchen. There also is a multi-purpose room, a fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment, and a children’s playroom.

Outside is a deck and terrace – spanning about 6,000 square feet – encircling a 3,500-square-foot, zero-entry pool.

Tuscan stone benches, fountains and plant-accented columns appear throughout the community, while trees and shrubs have been sculpted to mimic Mediterranean cypress trees. Moreover, a pallette of ornamental flowers in yellow, red, and pink accents the community as an homage to Italy’s Tuscany region.

Homes and amenities at TerraLargo overlook waterways, nature preserves, 29-acre Meadow View Lake, and a gently sloping terrain. With a national reputation for thoughtful environmental planning, Avatar set aside more than 60 percent of this community’s acreage for open space, recreation and conservation areas.

TerraLargo is five miles southeast of Interstate 4's exit 32 in Polk County.
