Future homeowners to be married at Avatar’s TerraLargoSM

Nancy Gilbert and Trevor Pierce wanted to keep things close to home.

So when they decided to get married, they decided to exchange vows in the gated, Tuscan-themed community of TerraLargo^SM where Avatar Properties Inc. is building their new 3-bedroom home.

“Since we are going to make our home here, it was the perfect location,” said Gilbert, who tied the knot with Trevor on the lushly landscape poolside deck of the community’s clubhouse which overlooks 29-acre Meadow Lake.

Over 80 friends and family attended the lakeside wedding which took place in the pre-twilight hours.

“It was the perfect setting at a beautiful time of day for the wedding,” said Pierce, a lead developer who builds software applications for a national communications company’s Orlando office.

Dating for the past three and half years, the couple met almost by accident when Gilbert, a senior systems analyst for a Lakeland consulting firm, was on a business trip in Atlanta.

“I was supposed to meet a friend for dinner, and when he couldn’t make it he sent Trevor instead,” said Gilbert. “In January we made plans to get married and started looking for a home in a location that would be convenient to both our jobs. TerraLargo^SM was perfect.”

The 640-acre master-planned community, located north of I-4 on Sleepy Hill Road opposite the Lakeland Square Mall, is planned for 618 single-family homes and executive residences in two distinctive collections offering 1,462 to 3,265 sq. ft. of living area at prices from the mid-$200s to over $400,000.

The community’s centerpiece, and site of Nancy and Trevor’s wedding, was the 5,000 sq. ft. clubhouse with resort-style amenities including state-of-the-art fitness center, fully-equipped

kitchen, and multi-purpose rooms for parties, meetings and events. Outside amenities include a zero-entry pool and spa embraced by landscaped courtyards, children’s playground, and boardwalk with gazebo on Meadow Lake.

Tuscan stone benches, fountains and plant-accented columns are set throughout TerraLargo ^SM, while a palette of ornamental flowers in yellow, red and pink pay homage to Italy’s Tuscan region.

“It was not only a beautiful setting in which to get married, but a great place to call home and raise a family,” said Gilbert, mother of a 5-year-old daughter. She and Pierce also have a 10-month old daughter.

“Our home has a great floor plan with a nice size family room, separate bedrooms for the children, a great kitchen, and a loft which we really like,” said Gilbert.

And, as parents, TerraLargo’s^SM gated access to neighboring Sleepy Hill Elementary (planned to open in August 2007) and Sleepy Middle School was another reason Gilbert and Pierce decided to call TerraLargo^SM home. The school property adjoins the TerraLargo^SM property.

To get to TerraLargo ^SM take I-4 to exit 32 (State Road 98). Go north to third set of traffic lights at Sleepy Hill Road. Turn left and go ½ mile to TerraLargo^SM on the left.
