Stine named customer-care mgr. for Avatar division

Garry Stine, a 20-year veteran of the real estate industry, has been appointed customer-care manager for the Tampa division of Avatar Properties Inc., one of Florida's premier builders and developers.

In this position, Stine will be responsible for the customer-care department at Cory Lake Isles in New Tampa, Sterling Hill in Hernando County, and future locations in the Tampa Bay area. He will provide customer service for Avatar home buyers during all stages of the building process ... before and after owners have moved into their home. He will supervise a staff of eight people.

Most recently, Stine worked as assistant project manager and superintendent for a national homebuilding company in Tampa, where he was an estimator and purchasing agent. Before that, he was operations manager for another national builder in Tampa. There, he served in various capacities including superintendent, customer-service manager and construction administrator.

Stine earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Mich. He resides in New Port Richey.
