TerraLargo community set for weekend opening

Avatar Properties is gearing up for TerraLargo’s weekend grand opening event, which will unveil this 640-acre, Tuscan-inspired community’s model- home center and amenities complex.

Scheduled this weekend (Oct. 21-22), the event will include free food, refreshments, entertainment and other activities, says Francesca Vereb, director of marketing for the gulf coast and south Florida operations of Avatar.

Moreover, this is the first opportunity for home buyers to tour the model-home center and amenities complex at TerraLargo, located off Sleepy Hill Road. Models include the 1,625-square-foot Campania, 2,033-square-foot Milano and 3,162-square-foot Toscana designs from Avatar’s Castello and Palazzo residential collections.

The Campania and Milano are three-bedroom, two-bath floor plans with two-car garages and covered lanais. The Campania also has a 12-by-19-foot living-dining area and 14-by-18-foot greatroom, while the Milano has an island kitchen and 15-by-19-foot living room.

Meanwhile, the two-story Toscana has four bedrooms, 3.5 baths, a three-car garage and 333-square-foot lanai. There also is a 14-by-19-foot master suite with tray ceiling, his- and-her walk-in closets and a bath with twin vanities, garden tub and corner shower.

The amenity complex boasts the TerraLargo Club, a clubhouse with about 5,000 square feet of space, a reception lounge and kitchen. There also is a multi-purpose room, fitness center and children’s playroom. Outside is a deck and terrace – spanning about 6,000 square feet – encircling a 3,500-square-foot, zero-entry pool.

A boardwalk leads to the lakeside boat dock, where canoes, kayaks and other non- motorized watercraft can be launched. There also are picnic areas and a covered cabana.

Upon completion, TerraLargo will feature six residential villages with 618 single- family and executive residences on 50- and 70-foot-wide homesites. Avatar offers 10 floor plans with about 1,400 to more than 3,000 square feet of living space. Pricing is from the low- to mid-$300s including homesite.

Homes and amenities at TerraLargo overlook waterways, nature preserves, 29-acre Meadow View Lake and gently sloping terrain. To reach TerraLargo, take Interstate 4 to exit 32. Turn left on State Road 98 and go to the third set of traffic lights (Sleepy Hill Road). Turn left, and the community entrance is a short distance away on the right.
