Three models under way in Avatar’s TerraLargo

March 02, 2006

Construction has begun on a model-home center – featuring three of Avatar’s most popular designs – in TerraLargo, a master-planned community designed with Tuscan-inspired architecture on Sleepy Hill Road.

The models are slated to open this spring or in early summer and pricing is expected to start from the mid-$200s including homesite, says Francesca Vereb, director of marketing for the gulf coast and south Florida operations of Avatar Properties Inc., the community’s developer and exclusive builder.

The 1,625-square-foot Campania and 2,033-square-foot Milano include two-car garages, while the two-story, 3,162-square-foot Toscana features a three-car garage. All models boast standard features such as brick-paver driveways and entryways, covered lanais, arched archi-tectural accents throughout, barrel-tile roofs and upgraded landscaping.

The three-bedroom, two-bath Campania has a 14-by-18-foot greatroom, as well as a 12-by-14-foot master suite with a master bath that has twin vanities, a walk-in closet and a garden tub.

The Milano – also with three bedrooms and two baths – features a 15-by-19-foot living room, 11-by-20-foot dining room, and a 17-by-19-foot master suite featuring lanai access.

The four-bedroom, 3.5-bath Toscana features a 17-by-25-foot living room, a 16-foot-square family room, and a first-floor master suite with lanai access and his-and-her walk-in closets.

Upon completion, TerraLargo will feature six residential villages with 618 single-family and executive residences on 50- and 70-foot-wide homesites. Homes here will range from about 1,400 to more than 3,000 square feet of living space.

Tuscan stone benches, fountains and plant-accented columns appear throughout the com-munity, while trees and shrubs have been sculpted to mimic Mediterranean cypress trees. More-over, a pallette of ornamental flowers in yellow, red and pink accents the community as an homage to Italy’s Tuscany region.

Homes and amenities at TerraLargo overlook waterways, nature preserves, 29-acre Meadow View Lake, and gently sloping terrain. With a national reputation for thoughtful environ-mental planning, Avatar set aside more than 60 percent of this community’s acreage for open space, recreation and conservation areas.

TerraLargo – five miles southeast of Interstate 4's exit 32 in Polk County – is centrally located between Tampa and Orlando. It is near the North Lakeland Family YMCA, Sleepy Hill Middle School and the Lakeland Square Mall.

Avatar Properties Inc. – one of Florida’s premier builders and developers – is the development arm of Avatar Holdings Inc., a public company primarily engaged in real estate operations in Florida and Arizona.

Aside from developing and building in TerraLargo, Avatar builds executive residences and townhomes in Tampa’s Cory Lake Isles; and Sterling Hill, a Devco community in Hernando County. Avatar also develops or builds in the major master-planned communities of Poinciana, Solivita and Bellalago, near Orlando; Woodslanding, Frenchman’s Yacht Club and Harbor Islands in south Florida; and Majestic Oaks in Brooksville.
